WAXING DO'S AND DON'TS

DO

Avoid harsh exfoliants, excessive sweating, saunas, steam rooms, tight clothing, intimacy, all bodies of water (including bath tubs), and excessively hot showers for 48-72 hours after your wax.

Make sure your hair is at least 1/4in. or roughly the length of a rainbow sprinkle or grain of rice.

Reach out to your esthetician with any questions or concerns.

DON'T

Exfoliate the same day as your appointment, both before or after.

Use a chemical exfoliator and a physical exfoliator on the same day.

Exfoliate every day.

Put lotion or body oil on immediately before your appointment.

Use more than 3 products on your body care routine at a time.

DO

Wear comfortable and loose clothing to your wax appointment.

Eat before coming in for your appointment.

Stay hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment.

Take a pain killer like ibuprofen or tylenol 30 mins before your appointment to help with discomfort.

Exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment as well as moisturize.

DON'T

Sit in your workout clothes after completing a workout. Bring an extra pair of underwear and pants if you are not going home or showering right after your workout.

Wear synthetic underwear. Cotton is the most breathable and causes the least amount of chafing/irritation.

Shave in between waxes.

Get a spray tan immediately before or after your wax.

DO

Exfoliate 3x a week and moisturize everyday.

Use products recommended by your esthetician. Not Tik Tok or Instagram.

Use products with no added fragrance.

Come to your appointment sober.

Use a product for a minimum of six (6) months before switching to a new one. Unless the product is causing irritation or allergic reaction.

DON'T

Spend long amounts of time exposed to the sun 24-48 hours after your wax.

Wear a full face of makeup to your facial wax (if possible). I will cleanse your skin no matter what but makeup can interfere with the wax and lead to more tweezing or left over hairs.

Get waxed when you have a sunburn.

Continue using a product that is causing irritation.
